Jack Draper enters his inaugural US Open this year and looks to make a deep run at the competition

Draper will be hellbent on leaving an indelible mark here on his debut and build on his impressive quarter-final appearance at the Winston-Salem Open.

Draper downed former US Open champion, Dominic Thiem, in North Carolina, and also recorded a quarter-final run in Montreal coupled with a semi-finals run in front of a partisan home crowd at the ATP 250 Eastbourne. Draper has been touted as a future British star and the at only 20, the Sutton-born player will be full of confidence coming into New York.

On the other side of the net is Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori, who failed to progress past the round of 64 of any Grand Slam. The world No. 48, who reached the semi-finals at the 2022 Melbourne Summer Set – ultimately losing to Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal – looks to improve on his career Grand Slam record.
