Trent Rockets vs Oval Invincibles Predictions | The Hundred 2022 Betting Preview

The Trent Rockets came flying out of the traps during their first three fixtures of their Hundred 2022 schedule, beating the Birmingham Phoenix, Northern Superchargers and Manchester Originals in convincing fashion. The grind for the playoffs starts now, and the Rockets face a tough challenge this Wednesday if they want to keep pace with the table-toppers. Check out SinkorSwimSports as we run you through all our Trent Rockets vs Oval Invincibles predictions in our latest The Hundred betting tips.

Trent Rockets Preview – The First Big Test

We’ve said it before, but we didn’t fancy the Trent Rockets much at the beginning of this season’s edition of the men’s Hundred. The team really fell off in the run-in of the 2021 season, and we thought only having the services of star player Rashid Khan for one sole game this year might have hit the side harder than it has.

As it turns out the Rockets have helped set the pace this season on the back of some stellar performances, though mainly with the bat thus far. Dawid Malan, the former number one ranked ICC T20 Player in the world, is leading the batting charts with 203 runs, whilst Alex Hales is currently sitting in third with 140.

Given the pressure the England white-ball side has been under this summer, Hales’ form, in particular, is solid reminder to the selectors of his skill with the bat in hand.

However, the Trent Rockets lost their first match in convincing fashion following Joe Root going on England duty, meaning the side is looking noticeably more thread-bare than when they started the season. With their first loss of the season on their back, it’ll be fascinating to see how the team perform now an added load of pressure is being applied.

Oval Invincibles Preview – Can Roy Get Some Runs?

We can’t talk about the Oval Invincibles without mentioning Jason Roy. The opening batter holds the record most the highest individual innings for England and was a vital part of the Three Lions’ 2019 World Cup win, but his form this summer has been nothing short of wretched.

Heading into this fixture against the Rockets, Roy has only recorded 10 runs in his four innings for the Invincibles this season. He was clean bowled for a two-ball duck in the Invincibles’ latest match against the Southern Brave, taking his tally to three ducks in the past four innings.

On the flip side, Will Jacks has begun to showcase exactly why we tipped him to be England’s next big thing. In the Invincibles’ match against the Brave, Jacks hit the second century in The Hundred 2022, reaching a 108* from just 48 deliveries.

Plenty of people have begun to speculate just how long Jason Roy has in the England set-up based off of his current form, with Jacks being touted as the man to take his place in the white-ball teams. Keep an eye out for the pair’s respective fortunes over the remainder of The Hundred 2022 schedule.

Trent Rockets vs Oval Invincibles Odds, Betting Tips And Picks

In our latest Hundred betting tips, Trent Rockets have been marked down as favorites with odds of 13/16, compared to the Oval Invincibles at 1/1. Just one win and two places separate the teams heading into this fixture, so we think the importance of home advantage has played a part in this early prediction from bettors.

Jason Roy was clean bowled by George Garton in the Invincibles’ last match, but ‘Caught’ is still the leading favorite in our First Dismissal Method with a price of 2/5. You can get odds on the stumps flying first up with ‘Bowled’ priced at 15/4

Finally, here’s a fun novelty pick for you to follow over the course of the match: Who’s going to score more runs – out of sorts Roy, or super centurion Will Jacks? You can get odds on Roy and Jacks to finish as the Top Away Batsman at 7/2 and 10/3 respectively.
